This website is a compilation of work by counselors, writers, and volunteers devoted to help others undergo processes of job loss and career planning. This site also addresses needs of those seeking to thrive in the workplace, or to prosper after leaving the workforce full-time.
Contributors to this site are staff or volunteers from counseling agencies, education, private practice, nonprofits, outplacement firms, or job transition support groups, known as Job Clubs.

Career transition has become the rule. People now work longer, typically on the order of 40 to 60 years, holding upwards of ten different jobs in three to five different career fields. Job permanence has become the exception. Job loss, workplace turmoil, ventures into new fields and the desire for purposeful retirement alternatives all involve challenge and frequently emotional trauma. Yet all these life experiences hold opportunity for growth and success.
